Cool Science Fair Project About Teeth #3 Is whitening toothpaste any different than regular toothpaste?
For this science fair project, have the child visit the dentist to find out how white his or her teeth are. (Most dentists that offer teeth whitening will first compare your tooth to sample of various shades of white to see how white their teeth will be after whitening.) Then the student will brush with normal toothpaste on one side and whitening toothpaste on the other. Then return for a comparison to see if there is really truly any difference. Be sure to take plenty of pictures for the science fair project display.

This science fair project will involve using egg shells (which substitute for teeth, as they have a similar color and texture) and various forms of drinks such as root beer and coffee. Students will then compare the results and decide which drink has the darkest stain.
